THE ANIMALS

 

LESSON # 1

 

    The first part of the class is a brainstorming about animals. Ask those questions: Do you have a pet at home? Which animals do you know? What is your favorite animal? Where does your favorite animal lives? Write the answers on the board. After that, show students animal flashcards and ask students to name the animal and to tell us where they live (farm, forest, ocean, jungle). After this naming activity, ask students to complete a fill-in-the-blank sheet about animals. Then ask students to play to the animal game (the teacher show a picture of an animal and students(they will be divide into two teams) have to name the animal quickly; the fastest team win the point.).

 

Physical setup

-Students work individually.

-Students are divide into 2 teams.

Materials needed

-The board.

-Flashcard of animals.

-Fill-in-the-blank sheet about animals.

-Recognize the name of some animals in English.

-Answer questions and write the name of some animals.

-Speak English.

Specific objective

-Within a brainstorming and after showing students animals flashcards, students will be able to write and to name in English some animals.

Methods for evaluating the achievement of the objective(s).

-The teacher will pick-up the sheet students did during the period.

Conclusion

-Students will play the animal game. This is where they will reinvest what they learned during the period.
